Over the past ten years, our school district has seen significant improvements in its facilities, all achieved through careful planning and financial responsibility.
Some of the key upgrades include:
Elementary School Roof: Fully re-sealed to ensure longevity and safety for our students and staff.
New Boilers: Installed in both the Elementary and Middle Schools, enhancing energy efficiency and reducing long-term costs.
Public Water System: The Elementary School is now connected to Franklin’s public water system, ensuring a reliable and safe water supply.
Structural Repairs: Addressed critical structural issues with the Elementary School roof to guarantee a secure learning environment.
Parking Lot Upgrades: Re-graded and fixed drainage issues, along with repaving the Elementary School parking lot to improve accessibility and safety.
Energy Efficiency Grants: New boilers for the Middle School were funded through a JCP&L grant, showcasing our commitment to sustainable improvements.
What sets these accomplishments apart is that every one of these upgrades was funded without the need for a public referendum. Through proper budgeting techniques, our district was able to save into reserves and allocate funds responsibly, avoiding any additional tax burdens on our community.
Our focus has always been on maintaining and enhancing the quality of our schools while being fiscally responsible. By planning ahead and prioritizing long-term investments, we’ve upgraded our facilities to better serve our students, teachers, and families—without sacrificing other essential services or programs.
